I'm just wondering if anything like the new trailer for GI Joe 2 ever happened in previous GI Joe media or if they are just coming up with off the wall stuff to fit in the Rock and Bruce Willis. Not questioning if it will be a good movie, just wondering because it looks like they killed off all the other Joes except for Snake Eyes and Scarlett besides the few new ones in the movie and I never was big on GI Joe so I'm not sure if it has happened in a comic or anything before.
The coward desires revenge but being afraid to die, he looks to others, maybe to the government of the day, to do the work of defense for him.
Okay, I just watched the trailer.
Lemme guess. This is what the plot of the movie is gonna be, right?
Accused of a crime they didn't commit, a ragtag band of fugitives fights a covert battle to clear their names and expose the insidious enemy that is... Cobra. Some call them outlaws. Some call them heroes. But these determined men and women think themselves only as "Ordinary Joes". And this is their story.
Sound familiar? The premise a blatant rip off of G.I. Joe: Renegades. The first movie took stuff from G.I. Joe: Sigma 6, and now the sequel steals from the latest cartoon. And so soon after that show just end too.
Here's a thought. Why not come with something original, instead of taking someone else's existing ideas and using them for your own?
This is just lazy.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis
if you notice they actualy brought in jynx
so yeah it might be good alot of people in the comments are already declareing it to be better than the first
and to be fair a movie doesnt have to be original to be good....though it does help
in stead of rebooting the series (which would have been acceptible givne the first movie), They fix it by killing off the Joes of the first movie and introduce other rmembers
with Bruce Willis as the original (12in figure form 1964) G.I. Joe
Immaturity is shown by not trying to understand others, but by judging others.
I haven't seen the first.
What I don't like about the sequel is they're doing what Mission: Impossible (1) did, kill of practically everyone on the team!
I'm still going to check them both out, it just seems like the plot could've been better. Oh, well...more popcorn, please!
