burning a video to an audio

I was just wondering if you burned a video to an audio cd will the audio of the video carry over? Or will it not work due to software differences?

Ok a freind helped me out with this one but i have another question. Is there a way to get audio from a video on lets say youtube onto an audio cd?

I use a FOSS/open source video editor to rip the sounds from video stream, you can usually get those at sam's or something, but you can download some off the internet, I will have to check out what my old one was called.
