*UPDATED* BotCon 2012 Fan Filmfest winners

Postby Sabrblade » Wed May 09, 2012 1:38 pm

A fun feature of each year's BotCon convention is the Transfomers Filmfest, in which fans submit their own fan film works to be viewed and judged at the convention. This year's filmfest saw fan voice actor jON3.0 (Jon Bailey) take both second and third place with his two entries "Green Energy" and "The Best Transformers Botcon 2012 Fan Film Thingy EVER MADE" (starring Ravage the Insult Comic Bot). First place was taken by Hollywood Hoist (Ben Harpold) of TFW2005 with his video "Starting Them Young" (featuring his 2 and half year old son).

Third Place: "The Best Transformers Botcon 2012 Fan Film Thingy EVER MADE" by jON3.0

Second Place: "Green Energy" by jON3.0

First Place: "Starting them Young" by Hollywood Hoist,

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis

The accent is more based on Beast Wars Ravage.
