TakaraTomy Generations TG-19 Grimlock and TG-20 Ratbat pics

Postby Sabrblade » Fri Jan 11, 2013 10:13 am

TFSource has posted the first official images of the TakaraTomy Generations TG-19 Grimlock and TG-20 Ratbat figures. Grimlock is a redeco of the Hasbro Voyager figure with a shiny game-accurate deco.

Ratbat, however, is something else. Longtime visitors here may recall an old news item from the pre-forum days of 2010 about the Generations Scourge toy's instructions showing a different headsculpt for that figure. The design of this headsculpt led many to believe it could be either for Leozack from Transformers Victory or for Senator Ratbat from the IDW Generation 1 story "Megatron Origin". With this new Ratbat figure, is seems the latter speculation has won out with this figure being just that. Images can be found beyond the space bridge.

"When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis

And what do you mean by an "original" Ratbat figure?

Does the Hasbro Generations one that comes with Frenzy not count?
