Only just announced yesterday, TakaraTomy Mall
and its Twitter
have now launched the preorder page for the new Masterpiece MP-34S Shadow Panther (Beast Wars) figure. A redeco of MP-34 Cheetus (Beast Wars)--otherwise known as Cheetor in the West--this figure represents the very first all-new Japanese-original Beast Wars character, who was later sold by Hasbro online first as his original self and then as a new version of Ravage a few months later.
Both the preorder page and the Tweet give us all new high quality images of the figure as well as its accessories. In addition to those that came with Cheetor, the figure also features a new Beast Mask accessory based on the original toy's Mutant Head, as well as two versions (one for Beast Mode and one for Robot Mode) of the long-range comm link made by Rhinox and used by Cheetor in the Beast Wars cartoon's third episode. The figure will be a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive available in August for 8000 yen.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis
