Marvel used to produce the Transformers comics, but let the rights go back in the 1990's. Too bad they didn't keep the rights. If Marvel Studios were producing Transformers Movies I bet the quality of the narratives would be significantly improved. I think Bay does great action, but the story to get to those great moments are nauseating as you keep pretending the scene you just saw didn't happen so you can enjoy the action. -Coming from a lifelong TF Fan.
If Marvel had kept the rights then we wouldn't have the awesome comics that we currently have from IDW, which are well regarded as some of (if not the) greatest TF fiction we've ever gotten.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis
On the bright side, we would probably get much better movies
If by that you mean a bigger cluster than the final battles yes.
What we would get is Transformers in the MCU, although focus would be on the Transformers and not some human germs.
Immaturity is shown by not trying to understand others, but by judging others.
