original Cybertron alt modes

Postby starry* *night » Sat Oct 22, 2011 6:35 am

I wonder if there's any collected information on this?

I'm not sure which section this belongs in but the first image I found was vintage Comic
and since the Comics over the years have probably been a vaster source of material
there might be more in them,
however differing it may be ?

Has anyone spotted any obscure bits on CYBERTRON Alt. MODES while perusing favorite older comics?

I'm looking for more but I'm starting with Optimus: image 1
from Teletran1 wiki out of U.K. comics
I'm not really sure about this one but it read 'before the Decpeticon Autobot war' when discussing it.
Possibly images 1 and 2 are not related modes since he was re-built into Prime according to G1 image 1 would be the rebuild - ?

And some bit of a storyline showing when he was a dock worker:image 2

But I couldn't find yet the stills of this that I would have liked to use.
D.F. ventured into this in with his designs remembering this sequence properly :D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2qSEBAQA1o :D :D :D
The mega-mile spaceway bridge
^ more smileys after the sequence

regarding the seekers alt modes: super excellent image 3

and BECAUSE IT'S BASED ON this OLD MODE D.F.'s newer matching take on Bot mode: image 4

couldn't help throwing in the custom someone did: image 5

I mean to be looking for OLDER stuff but
I have to put in -- because it entertains me so much: image 6 Soundwave as an 8-track player?
Thanks Don!

Are there any sequences of Cybertron form TFs in the older Japanese material?? That would be really interesting.
(1 more question that occurred to me was Shockwave never re-formatted?)

This 1st Optimus would make a good toy

The current War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron video games feature nothing but pre-Earth Cybertronian altmodes.
"When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis

having checked is
It looks like Bumblebee has a slight similarity in shape
but might not quite call it based
in the G1 sequence design
yeah you can customize it into it though....

seekers??? I found no vid pictures

Haven't found many more Vintage Comic Book Glimpses like I want to
but just to put more (Cybertron modes) in one place

all from Teletran

Laserbeak: image 1
AND now my own in progress drawing of him from the top
but better in person
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jN2lIwF ... re=related

Edit:
Just found out someone else remembered the Tetrajets : image 2 -
--
and drew Sunstorm as one: image 3

Cartoon
and Soundwave "Implausible" and definitely in size-mass change: image 4

Wheeljack: image 5

But on this LASERBEAK they Really Missed it, THERE IS A TOP VIEW that actually Shows What He Looks Like MUCH BETTER in the sequence

The from top view (my sketch) makes me wonder what Cybertron birds look like ..... good for the imagination.
I added my own unfinished drawing of a top view which actually shows what he looked like.

Are the seekers and Bumblebee based on those (G1 cartoon) ones in the game ?

Why are you yelling at me?

And why not look at the Fall of Cybertron news that we keep posting to see for yourself?

Also, this wiki is superior to the Teletraan one.

That wasn't what I meant

I just used large letters to pull attention to it since I had put another entry after it
I'll change it.

The comparison pictures were something I had just edited in and at first it was just a one sentence question smashed in between 2 picture entries.

I am really sorry if it seemed that way though

(oh and the vid suggestion earlier today also got me a neat pic of
Optimus looking like a Hubbly Toy :D :D :D
so it was really great)

But I think the Comic book image is before they left Cybertron.
Comic book flier in the background :image 3
not sure if it's an alt mode or a transport ship and also not identified by even color

Op's best friend: image 4

Decepticon carrier trucks: image 5

Finally one more out of the comics
I've been all over the transformers wikis lately and found this
apparently not well liked version of apparently Bluestreak
