I called him The One because he's described as an entity with no name, but existed prior to everyone else. And that he, by dividing himself, creates Unicron and Primus.

But it might not be him, which fits to what I've heard across the net (rumors only), that The One are being retconned out.
Well, don't forget that what doesn't apply to the Aligned continuity still applies to the Multiverse. The origin with The One still matters for Dreamwave G1 and whatever else it belongs to.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis

Finished the Covenant a few days ago. Overall it was good, but there was definitely errors; such as forgetting to change Optimus Prime to Thirteen.
I might have preferred for this to be delayed a few months just so events of Retribution ( Sharkticon invasion of cybertron ) could have been added. But then again Alpha Trion is old and forgetful

I found the early chapters the most interesting because we've never had a view of that time period. I could see each of the early chapters being a full book if the Covenant was a multi-volume series.

I am not finished with it yet due to being very busy. Though I have noticed it contradicts with the cartoon, the other comics, and the games on several points. So in my eyes, There are more than one universe in Aligned.
