TF Prime Continuity Error Solved!

Postby Wing Saber » Sun Dec 11, 2011 4:53 pm

Megatron's vehicle mode... one of the WFC - Prime continuity errors... both are cybertronian modes, so why would they be different? Hasbro offered the solution that 'Megatron changes modes often'... well, I've got a better one!
HE traveled in space for years without a ship before coming to Earth... He needed to fly around somehow. Unless the space bridges are ACTUAL bridges like in Cybertron, a tank's not going to be able to travel through the stars

So how does this fit with Exiles

I also have yet to get to Exiles

but Exedus in nutshell: (most is covered in the season finale of Prime) Rise of Megatron and Orion Pax, Orion Pax named Prime.... then you reach a chapter that covers (at the time just) WFC (but now) also covers FoC... the Ark leaves Cybertron

In other words, "Megatron changes modes often". :P

When I read it, I imagined Megs was still in his WFC body. But that was before we even knew anything specific about FoC. So, I guess if I reread it, I'll have to reimagine him in his FoC body. Both bodies work since not much of Megatron's physical description was given in either book. So, no contradiction with either body.

As for this idea, however, Megatron was only in space for three years. So his Prime body would still come much later than any body he had in the games or novels.

Despite their flaws, they're both worth the read in order to get a better understanding of this continuity. ;)

That remains to be seen, since we don't quite know how much of FoC will match up with the final chapters of Exodus. When the author wrote it, he was told to adapt WFC for those chapters that he did. With FoC, however, I wouldn't hold my breath for their game being all that similar to the final chapters of Exodus (beyond the Ark and Nemesis launching).

Argh! I wish this game would come out sooner! All this speculating is giving me a headache. :x
"When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis
