maybe this is hasbros way of mixing it up a bit
If it isn't broken don't fix it. Why can't the dialogue be judged by its own merit rather than by someone else's reworking of it? Plenty of other toyetic children's anime get accurate subtitles for their DVD releases. Why should these be denied the same treatment? Why settle for less than the best possible quality?

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis

What do animation errors have to do with this? That is beyond the point.

Best subtitle quality, not visual quality. Meaning, the most faithfully-accurate that the translations can be in adhering to the spoken dialogue, as well as lacking in any errors in spelling and grammar, with each line appearing on screen with the appropriate timing for each.

But why settle for anything less than the truth? These subs aren't stating what's truly being said. Shout! said that these were gonna be faithful translations, yet they are not.

I'm not saying that they were lying, but simply that they didn't live up to their word of these being accurate. The "truth" I was referring to was the trueness of the subs, not the company's word. Sorry for any misconception on that.
