High Rez Screen Captures from AoE Big Game Commercial

Postby perceptor » Sun Feb 02, 2014 10:16 pm

So much to take in! Like who's that bright green bot with the parachute? Or the silvery bot cutting the red Chevy in half? What we see, is what appears to be a robot's head/chest transform into a cannon and blast quite a shot through the torso of Optimus Prime... Presumably, then the big bad bot takes Optimus captive aboard his bigger and badder ship. Next thing we know Bumblebee is ...being attacked/helped(???) by a two headed dragon looking creature. Study every shot, in our new high resolution image gallery!

Could that be Galvatron? Are we going to get (dragon-like) Predacons, Preds vs. Dinobots in AoE?! All those ships are coming from where exactly? It's 2014 people, let the SPECULATION begin! :)

That's the Dinobot Strafe.

To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. UK Toy Fair reports confirmed him as Strafe.

Looks like ol' Gunface is Lockdown (same collar details):

And now we have a better look at the Poster Bot:

If the guy on the left is Lockdown, I'm wondering if maybe he's come to Earth to get the bounty on Optimus, the guy responsible for killing Megatron.

If so, I could see this also being him and his ship:

Awesome Crosshairs is awesome:

A closer look at this pic reveals Optimus in a body akin to his previous movie body:

Hiya, Strafe!

Have horned T-Rex, will go riding:

And Brawl (toy) was the confirmed name for Devastator (2007 movie). Right now we have multiple sources that have reported both names. As I said we shall see in June.

Looking at the larger pictures:

Gunface: It looks like there is a helmet just below the panel with the three black dots.

Ship with Gunface: The ship's design vaguely looks like Zarak/Scorponok. This is mostly due to the "clouds" obscuring the full ship. But it appeasers there is at least two forward facing appendages and one that is centered in the back.

Halo jump Crosshairs: Does anyone know where he is jumping into? To me the skyline looks like Chicago, and he is shooting some Decepticon fighters.

Why are you being so anal about this? We have an official name for the guy. You don't have to go out of you're way to avoid it.

And "The Reign of Starscream" fixed the "Devastator" thing with Brawl.

No, I'm pointing out there are multiple sources reporting multiple names. Of which you are ignoring. As far was we know in the movie he will be called Swoop (highly unlikely).

Also now your're not considering the fact that the majority of the movie going audiences didn't read the tie-in materiel (Note that it was Brawl in Ghost of Yesterday). To them there are two different Devastators, even if they toy is call Brawl.

The point its until the film has been released, events and names can only be assumed. (i.e. Brawl in all non-film material, Devastator in 2007)

Now if you wish to continue this, I suggest we do this through messaging instead of clogging the thread with unrelated discussion.
