walmart exclusive deluxe dotm optimus problem

Postby thangtamfive » Fri Jul 07, 2017 12:17 pm

I seem to have bought a walmart deluxe optimus exclusive from dotm that has a messed up elbow joint. It is a great figure other than the fact that it doesnt completely turn into truck mode because of the messed up arm. I was wondering if this was just a rare fluke with the mold or if it is something alot of people are having trouble with, and also if anyone knows a good way to fix it! If it is just a fluke I will simply dish out another 10 bucks and hope for a better arm, otherwise help wanted!

Twas probably just a fluke.
"When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -- C.S. Lewis

I had the same problem with the first one I bought when it was out, I went back to walmart and looked to find a better one and did get a good one, but I think it was a more common problem at the time than some realize. I guess I still use the faulty one as battle damaged when I pit him up against leader sentinel!

I remember now, I sort of fixed his arm that way... there is the thread from when I got mine messed up though. Wish I could find the article about heating it up in warm water to fix it. Anyway, now that I see this is a direct copy of my original post, that is how it went down with the one I actually had, though I should have known it was a copy since DOTM optimus deluxe hasn't been 10 bucks in a while now.
